Lee Perrotta of RR Chocolate is having a solo edible chocolate art show entitled “Chocolate Passion*Chocolate Magic” at the Walt Whitman Birthplace State Historic Site & Interpretive Center. The Walt Whitman Birthplace State Historic Site & Interpretive Center is located at 246 Old Walt Whitman Road South Huntington, Long Island. The exhibit runs the entire month of February 2008 to tie into Valentines, the chocolate lovers’ holiday. The opening reception is February 2, 2008 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. and will include a brief lecture on the ‘History of Chocolate’ and a spectacular chocolate filled buffet of Lee Perrotta’s magical truffles, fudges and chocolate delights. Including in the evening’s events will be a very special wine tasting and pairing by Opici Wine Co. of New York. This event is not to be believed or missed and is the perfect to way to celebrate love and chocolate. This will be the first of its kind solo art show of chocolate sculptures, portraits and amazing eye dazzling chocolate artistry. These chocolates are hand painted with a special edible paint. Artist Lee Perrotta is creating one of a kind works of fine artist quality chocolate paintings and sculptures. Her unique approach to her work is that she creates “out of the box”, using all edible mediums. Some of her of sculptures, and centerpiece creations include antique jewelry, fashion accessories, under sea the creations, landscapes and still life sculptures. Almost too beautiful to eat she rides the line of fine art to high end culinary worlds.
